About me

My counselling practice is built with one core aim:

To support people to make sense of their emotions and develop new ways of viewing their past, present and future.

I am passionate about de-mystifying the therapeutic process and have a clear and compassionate style. Through empathy, curiosity and humour I build safe and authentic relationships with my clients. Exploration, support and challenge enable my clients to start living their lives differently.

I am a fully qualified and insured counsellor, psychotherapist and member of the BACP (which means I practice within a detailed and robust ethical framework). You can view my profile on the Professional Counselling Directory.

My work is integrative, meaning that I draw upon a range of different therapeutic models and theories to support my clients. This bespoke approach allows your needs to guide our work.

Laura Davies - Counsellor - Dip MBACP

I specialise in working with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, life changes, low self-esteem and anger or who are stuck in patterns of people pleasing, avoidance, procrastination, frustration and fear.

I support my clients to regain a sense of control and to start living the life that they want. Through self-exploration, within a professional, confidential, non-judgemental environment, you can explore, understand, and challenge the thoughts, feelings and actions that are negatively impacting your life. Together we can identify ways of bringing about positive change.

My Integrative Counselling skills and knowledge, combined with my background in Life Coaching and Teaching, enable me to support my clients to review, reframe and refocus their lives.

My counselling approach

  • Compassion

Counselling starts with the development of an authentic relationship built on trust and understanding. This is where my counselling approach begins.

  • Clarity

Within a safe and authentic counselling relationship we can begin to make connections, develop insights and find clarity around our thoughts, feelings and actions.

  • Change

These connections and insights enable us to make choices and change how we feel, think and behave. This is the aim of my counselling approach.
